Volcán Platanar

Platanar volcano, known in the region as volcán Congo, has an altitude of 2.183 m.s.n.m., is located 8 km southest from Ciudad Quesada. This is at the moment a non active estratovolcano, few known, who has at the northeast top a destroyed crater.

Actually is part of the Juan Castro Blanco National Park. The impressive structure can be clearly seen from several places in Ciudad Qusada.
